STUDIO

PRODUCTION STUDIO

Novato Public Access Television has a studio for members to use to tape and air live broadcasts. Please call for information on becoming a member of Novato Public Access Television. The studio has three studio equiped cameras, audio, adustable lighting and a basic talkshow style set design. Producers are encouraged to provide their own stage props and furniture. Additional lighting, sound or video equipment is lot allowed.

EDITING EQUIPMENT

NPAT has three editing suites for members to use (see USERS section for information on becoming a member of Novato Public Access Television). They are all equiped with Apple G5s running Finial Cut Pro HD 5.1. The system includes an external NTSC monitor, MiniDV/SVHS video deck and headphones.

NEW USER ORIENTATION

NPAT offers orientation classes to community members interested in becoming Novato Public Access users. This is the first step in the process of using the access studio.

WHEN?
Orientation Classes will be offered on the 1st Monday of every month.

WHAT TIME?
Class begins promptly at 6pm and will finish at 8pm.

WHERE?
1015 Seventh Street (see INFO for directions).

WHO?
Any person who lives, works or goes to school in Novato can become a studio user. If you are under 18 you must have a parent or guardian complete all training with you.

WHY?
As a NPAT studio user you get access to additional video training classes where you can gain the ability to check out video equipment for public access use, use the studio to produce a show, put on a live program and use NPAT's editing equipment. Immediatly after training you will be able to submit previously produced programming and post not-profit advertisments on the Community Bulletin Board.

FIELD EQUIPMENT
This class is certifies the NPAT user in the use of field video, audio and lighting equipment. At the completion of the class, the NPAT user will be able to check out field video equipment.
